Alternatively donations of groceries (tea, coffee, sugar, biscuits), household goods (soap, toilet paper, tissues, roller towel) or stationery (especially photocopy paper) are practical and very much needed and appreciated.
We would like to thank all our present and previous donors sincerely for supporting us so generously and lloyally over the years. Without their support we would simply not be able to operate or continue to grow.
Projects
Headway believes in carrying out projects that are self-sustaining and contribute to relieving the financial strain that comes with being a non-profit organisation. To this end we have a number of small fund-raising endeavours including a Mondi recycling bin, a cartridge recycling programme and we are a beneficiary of the ‘My School’ Card.
It does not cost anything to own or use a ‘My School’ card and every time that a purchase is made at any of the participating stores, a percentage of the total amount is automatically allocated to Headway Gauteng. To obtain a card, call Ann on (011) 442-5733.
Similarly, Headway receives a certain amount of money for the paper and cartridges saved for recycling. If you would like to drop off paper of any kind for the Mondi Bin or empty printer/fax cartridges for the Mzanzi recycling, you are welcome Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
